In the kitchen, Alberto coordinates his staff of cooks and pastry chefs, always on the lookout for the beautiful and the good, with the right balance between tradition and innovation.
In the dining room, Alberto's wife, Anamaria, focuses her natural kindness and professional skills on a single objective: transforming a meal into an emotional experience.
A wonderful Family
In 2015, the history of the Ferarùt restaurant attained the goal of half a century in the business. Fifty years, two generations: Carla and Guerrino Tonizzo, a married couple as well as co-workers, changed the name of their trattoria Al Cacciatore in 1965 and, in a few short years, an establishment known and appreciated for its traditional cuisine became a real temple of seafood gastronomy.
The second generation grew up in this milieu and now Alberto and his wife Anamaria have taken the Ferarùt to the very heights of haute cuisine. And, meanwhile, the family grows…
The awards and the acknowledgements do not come by chance or in a stroke of luck…
Alberto Tonizzo knows that well. He went into catering at a very young age and underwent a tough apprenticeship in the family business.
Work and study, making great sacrifices with discipline, tenacity and determination.
A passion for the world of catering and hospitality alongside the constant daily research and exploration: after gaining a diploma at the Tourism Institute of Lignano, he took courses with AIBES (Association of Bar Staff) and AIS (Italian Sommelier’s Association), studied for three years at the Higher Institute of Culinary Arts and gained work experience with great master chefs like Vinicio Dovier and Igles Corelli.
The Michelin star (awarded in 2012) is an award that acknowledges talent and passion, to quote the motto of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, of which Alberto has been a member since 2009.
Anamaria Hatcau has been at Alberto’s side since 2003. From a working relationship and sharing professional interests came a love story and marriage and two children quickly followed. Family commitments do not prevent Anamaria from sharing the daily work with Alberto, ensuring a smiling, polite and professional welcome.
